Needs
Losing a valuable item is a traumatic experience. The search begins in a panic – frantic scouring, questioning people nearby, and finally, desperate posting of signs. But these efforts are often fruitless. A feeling of helplessness takes over – where to turn next? How to find the person who might have found the item? The difficulty in spreading the word and the lack of a central place to report the loss amplify the frustration. The knowledge that someone may have found the item, but there’s no way to know, adds to the distress and uncertainty.
